ONE of the most annoying habits today is when shop assistants lick their fingers before opening plastic bags.

I have always detested this, and could always make sure I openedmy own! Now, of course, they open and pass them to you. Surely this comes under ' Health and Safety" and all the staff should be issued with pads etc.
