EX-Liverpool standard tramNo.762 carries tourists in commendable safety, but over in Birkenhead.

Forme, having ridden this rebuilt and beautiful vehicle withmy wife and grandchildren, and seeing the delight it, and others there, generate prompts this thought -why are they in a stretch of derelict dock land across the river instead of on the streets of Liverpoolwhere she rightly belongs? Does anyone have an explanation? Another classic tram, No.869, a fully-rebuilt Green Goddess Streamliner runs back and forth in an old quarry in Derbyshire for God"s sake!
