LIVERPOOL was today sending a message of sympathy to the people of New Orleans after this week's devastating hurricane.
Lord Mayor of Liverpool Cllr Alan Dean is writing to his counterpart in Louisiana where thousands of residents have lost their lives to hurri-cane Katrina. Liverpool is not twinned with New Orleans and has no formal links with the city, but a delegation from the US port visited Merseyside in the early 1990s for a meeting based on a shared love of music.See the full content of this document
