OPPORTUNIST thieves have targeted cars after valuables were left on display.

A spate of recent thefts from vehicles have taken place in the Tranmere and Birkenhead town centre areas. The thieves have smashed windows to steal Sat Navs, CDs and other valuable items left on show.
