THE following strange story was related to me many years ago by a man who has since passed away: Back in 1972, 39-year-old Frank Giffard of Upton, Wirral, commuted to Liverpool each morning to work for a fairly well known firm of accountants in the city.

One July lunchtime Frank decided to go to the Kardomah caf on Church Street, and whilst he was enjoying a cuppa and some delicious potato croquettes, he happened to look out the upper windows of the caf to see a beautiful young lady, perhaps in her late teens or early twenties.
