THE Wirral & District FA Saturday Amateur Cup semi-finalists were resolved with New Brighton winning 2-1 over Heswall Reserves.

Mallaby went in front through Steve Abbott and although Manor Athletic equalised through Wayne Hulse it was Davie Lee and Nick Scholes who saw the hosts to a 3-1 victory. Ashville Reserves won 5- 0 against Capenhurst Villa Reserves inspired by a fine hat-trick from Adam Johnson but extra time was needed to separate West Kirby Reserves and Bronze Social. The Mariners emerged 4-2 victors courtesy of strikes from Kieran Delaney, Kyle Jones, Mark Bishop and Adam Lea.
