IT is a condition which exasperates parents who think their children are simply misbehaving. School teachers too may complain that youngsters are failing to listen to them in class. But the child who ignores instructions or simply shouts all the time may not be being naughty -- they may have a medical condition called glue ear.

This is when the centre of the ear is filled with a glue-like fluid instead of air and causes dulled hearing.
