THANK-YOU the League of Welldoers, especially to the lovely Lesley Black and her team, for the organisation and presen-tation of a wonderful and memorable show Wartime Musical Memories at the Philharmonic Hall on Wednesday, May 11. The hall was festooned with Union Jacks, giving just the right atmosphere for the show.

I know comparisons are odious, but the show was more worthy of television than the show on BBC1 on Sunday, May 8
