Summary
SEFTON Council should be ashamed of themselves now that the canal is up and running from Liverpool. I was born and raised in Mill Grove, Litherland, and along with other cottages in Field Lane, my home was destroyed when Sefton Council took over in 1974.
It was wonderful for us as children talking to the bargees from our living room window and running along Field Lane and also before 1970, Sefton Street, to turn around the bridges to allow the boats through.See the full content of this document
