A JUDGE today threw out a police bid to ban Graham Sankey from football matches at home and overseas.

Merseyside police had applied for him to be banned from games, following his confession last year - which he later retracted - that he was responsible for an attack in Bulgaria which saw Liverpool teenager Michael Shields jailed for 15 years.
