WHITEFIELD Primary School, Kensington, remained unbeaten throughout the first ever Rugby League Festival hosted by Our Lady's HS. In the final they beat All Saints with Sacred Heart finishing third.

The event was the climax of the Primary Schools Rugby League coaching programme, a scheme developed by Andy Winrow, the school sport co-ordinator for Our Lady's and delivered by Stuart Savage, the Rugby League development officer for Merseyside.
