WATERLOO coach Phil Winstanley will have his ear to the ground this afternoon awaiting the result of the West country derby between Gloucester and Bristol in the quarter-finals of the Senior Powergen Cup.

A win by Bristol, who beat the Merseysiders in the last round, would give Waterloo a wild card into the semi-final of the Powergen Shield Competition and, just like last year, a chance for another visit to Twickenham.
