A HEADTEACHER found guilty of failing to care for his students after a pupil plunged through a skylight on an "out of bounds" roof has had a financial penalty slashed by top judges.

John Summerfield, 65, of Moorland Avenue, Crosby, was fined pounds 20,000, and hit with a pounds 22,708 legal costs bill, after he was convicted of a health and safety offence in September.
