A RECORD number of people attended organised firework displays in Merseyside during what is traditionally one of the busiest times of the year for the emergency services.
Sefton Park and Newsham Park hosted Liverpool's biggest public displays on Saturday evening, while a family bonfire and firework display in aid of Help For Heroes was held at Southport's Victoria Park.
