What is sadly lacking in the current Labour government is some firebrand backbenchers. Men andwomen, who will ask the prime minister on behalf of their constituentswhat he and his chancellor Alistair Darling are going to do about the bonus culture. Such questions should be asked at prime ministers quS estion time, and not behind the doors of committee rooms.
