Outspoken and informed, Birkenhead's MP writes for you WHAT does Gordon Brown think he is playing at? What am I, and more importantly you, to make of this week's Queen's Speech? Soon after he became Prime Minister Gordon Brown and I had a few meetings in quick succession. At each event I made a simple plea.

There were two years of the Parliament to run. He should decide which three or so reforms were most important for the country and that, once decided, he should put all the Government's energy behind promoting this limited programme.
