JOE Anderson"s letter is a timely reminder that we face very difficult times. As the economy contracts and the government cuts bite deeper, the council has some horrendous choices to make.
Yet it is not a problemof this council"s making. The local Lib Dems left the incoming Labour council with plenty of challenges but these were nothing compared to the cuts of Cameron and Clegg. These indicate far harsher times than Liverpool faced in the 80s, although, unlike then, there is a far more unified council response to our problems.See the full content of this document
