I AM an employee of Merseyside police and reading details of the suicide of PC Paula Tomlinson, after complaining of bullying in the armed response unit after she reported officers watching a pornographic video, left me feeling despondent.
In my experience, there is a culture within sectors of Merseyside police, a macho buddy culture and, if anyone dares to complain, the chances are they are ganged upon and the professional standards department does little to challenge this culture.See the full content of this document
