I READ the story (ECHO May 30) about the lung cancer patient who couldn't get insurance at a fair rate to travel to America. In the early days of my diagnosis I experienced similar problems myself, but went anyway.
Now having been discharged as far as I'm concerned I'm the same as the next person, so I just use holiday insurance and go on that. If everyone were to declare what illnesses they have had in the past the planes would be empty. The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Centre has a good insurance plan on their website, (wwwroycastle.org).
