MAY I take issue with comments attributed to Anders Borg in the ECHO (June 15) relating to Thursday's washout when it was said he would have liked to accommodate ticket holders but the remaining days were sold out. That was not the immediate case.
I purchased two tickets well in advance, appreciating the "no rain insurance", but had been assured by wording on the tickets that every effort would be made to reschedule. Despite heavy overnight rain I was about to set out for the tournament, as the weather was improving, when at 10.50am I heard that the day's play had been cancelled.See the full content of this document
