Summary
WHILE I have great sympathy for Mrs Irene Woods about the death of her son Christopher through misuse of a replica firearm ("My little Jack will never play with a toy gun", ECHO, Nov 4), her reaction on banning play guns from her other child's playtime is 180 degrees from what it should be.
Studies have repeatedly shown that children who are exposed to guns in a proper and correct environment, and who are allowed to exercise their curiosity in a controlled environment, are at much less risk from accidents involving a gun than those who are kept away from them and are never exposed to them.See the full content of this document
