A THIEVING accountant who plundered more than pounds 1.3m from his firm who managed the accounts of some of the UK's biggest attractions was put behind bars.

Over five years, financial controller Peter Cushion, 36, siphoned off massive sums from Heritage Great Britain. The firm maintains some of the UK's landmark destinations, including Land's End, John O'Groats, Snowdon Mountain Railway, Lightwater Valley and the Needles Park on the Isle of Wight.
