YOU have been through a terrifying ordeal and come out the other side. Your doctors say it is very unlikely you will have future problems. Then you ring up for holiday insurance and are asked: "When do you expect to die?"

The attitude of some insurance companies to people recovering from cancer is shameful. Not only do they seem to be unable to tell the difference between different cases, but they treat patients with unforgivable insensitivity.
