6.45am: Woken by our young children clambering to get under the covers for snuggles. Lovely. 7am: Showers all round and a mad half hour trying to get everyone presentable. We are out of the house by 8.15am and heading for school.

8.30am: Arrive in the office. We moved into our new premises in St Johns Road in March. Having won several large contracts for accident management and personal injury claims over the last two years, we had outgrown our old premises. 9am: I liaise with our First Response Team (FRT) which deals with all new instructions we receive, and get an update from the FRT manager about overnight calls and volumes of clients. 9.30am: I receive my first of many cups of tea for the day from my PA. We discuss the day ahead and prioritise anything urgent. 10am: My morning is filled with meetings to discuss ongoing contracts, systems and performance and meet with potential new business partners. This is very much a team effort with my business partner, Jeff Logan, and our marketing team. Emails arrive constantly during the day and are dealt with as necessary. I also check all incoming and outgoing post. Words of praise are passed on to the recipients.
