FIREFIGHTERS at a Wirral station could be provided with luxury accommodation if plans to build a new block of apartments are given the go ahead.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Authority has applied to build a block of six self-contained "flatlets" on the grounds of the existing station on Telegraph Road.
