PEOPLE were told to evacuate overnight when fire broke out in a garage containing gas canisters. Around 400 residents in the Cecil Street area of Sutton, St Helens were allowed to return home today after being advised to leave because of the threat of an explosion.
A 200-metre exclusion zone was enforced and an emergency centre was set up at nearby St Cuthbert's RC high school.See the full content of this document
