WAVERTREE and Rainhill both won to stay first and second in Division One of the Bromborough Paints Merseyside and Southport Alliance.

Nalgo and Telco Whitefield continue to make the running in Division Two after comfortable victories Wavertree had to work hard to see off Birkenhead St Mary's by two wickets. Josh Birch hit 54 and bowlers to do well were Ian Jennions 6-55 and Matthew Nation 4- 44. Steve McGenity took 6-40 haul for losers.
