Summary

FORMER two-weight world champion Miguel Cotto believes he still has a place at the top of the sport despite his defeat to Antonio Margarito last year.

Having lost his WBA welterweight title last July with his first professional defeat in an epic battle with Mexico's Margarito, Cotto will hit the comeback trail on February 21 at New York's Madison Square Garden when he goes head to head with England's Michael Jennings for the vacant WBO championship at I47lbs. Yet despite seeing his record slip to 32-1 (26 KOs) with his I I th round TKO by Margarito in Las Vegas, Cotto believes he has not lost too much ground in a division packed with exciting talents such as Andre Berto, Zab Judah and Kermit Cintron, established stars like Shane Mosley and Joshua Clottey and the current top dog Margarito.
