TEENAGER Francesca Halsall made an impressive Commonwealth Games debut today as she qualified for the last 16 of the 100m freestyle in Melbourne.
The 15-year-old from Banks, near Southport, was seventh fastest in a time of 56.35secs. That was significantly quicker than her more experienced England team-mates, Rosalind Brett and Amy Smith, who qualified in ninth and 11th place, respectively.See the full content of this document
