Artwork Vanishes in Royal Redesign

Summary


MURALS by leading artists have been destroyed during building alterations at the Royal Liverpool hospital.

The works, by Bridget Riley and the late Liverpool artist Adrian Henri, were commissioned as decoration 20 years ago. Bridget Riley's mural, covering both sides of an 80ft corridor, has been removed to provide a blood testing unit, upgraded pharmacy and public toilets.
