IT IS fair to say that without Danny Rampling, the history of dance music in the UK would have been written a very different way.

One of that famous foursome of DJs who made a trip to Ibiza in 1986 and brought back a whole new music sound rather than just the obligatory straw donkey (for the record the other three were Nicky Holloway, Johnny Walker and of course Paul Oakenfold), it is fair to describe him as one of the godfathers of UK House.
