A MAN accused of strangling a Liverpool solicitor pleaded not guilty to her murder. Philip Martins, 47, of Somerford Walk, Widnes, appeared at Chester Crown Court yesterday charged with the murder of Linda Bakewell, a partner at Old Hall Street law firm Armstrongs.
